Alanya Pamukkale Tour With Hot Air Balloon Ride

You’ve probably seen the ethereal scenery of Pamukkale (the ‘cotton castle’) on TV or in advertisements. It’s worth seeing the magnificence of Pamukkale’s snow-white pools for yourself. These huge natural baths filled with crystal clear turquoise water, the ancient city of Hierapolis nearby, the amphitheatre and other buildings. Definitely worth the trip. We suggest you do it not only by walking around Pamukkale National Park but also taking a balloon ride into the sky at sunrise. It is amazing to see the skyline of Pamukkale at dawn as the sun is colouring the snow-white mountains in every imaginable shades.

If this is what you’d like to do, we’re ready to pick you up early in the morning. A comfortable air-conditioned car will take you to Pamukkale. In a safe and secure basket you will reach heights between 300 and 600 meters (depending on weather conditions). At the end of the flight you will be given a certificate of the aerial journey.

After breakfast you will have a few hours free to walk in the Park of Pamukkale, swim in travertine pools, take a lot of memorable pictures, visit the Cleopatra Thermal Pool, see the amphitheater and all the buildings of Hierapolis. In the evening around 20:00 our transfer car will bring you directly to your hotel. We advise you to book this tour in advance.

Perhaps one of the most photographed sites in Turkey is that of Pamukkale with its snowy white rock formations that appear to cascade down the side of the mountain creating small pools where the thermal waters gather as they make their way down over the rocks. One of the best ways to see this unique sight is by air and what better way to do so than by hot air balloon?

This is a breathtaking experience as you take to the skies and soar above the geological wonder below. As you gain height in your balloon you will be able to look over the vast historical site that includes not only the cascades but the ancient city of Hierapolis and nearby Necropolis. You will be able to look down upon the sarcophagi, tombs and relics, and clearly see the size of the city as it spreads out below you.

You will be able to look across the municipality of Denizli, as far as the often snow capped peaks in the distant Mentese Mountain rage and maybe even catch a glimpse of the far away Aegean Sea. There is nothing that will quite prepare you for the panoramic views that you will have from the safety of your basket under the hot air balloon. You can forget magic carpet rides and feel happy in the knowledge that a balloon ride over the travertines of Pamukkale is every bit as magical if not more so.

Your tour bus will pick you up from your hotel in the early hours of the morning to be confirmed upon reservation according to your location. Your guide will be on board to give you details of your itinerary as you make your way to Pamukkale in Denizli.

You will approach Pamukkale just before 06:00 in plenty of time to arrive at the take off site. Upon arrival you will be given a safety briefing by your experienced pilot and board your balloon for your ride of a life time. In total the flight will last around 1 hour giving you the opportunity to enjoy all the thrills of Pamukkale from the air.

Once you have landed safely, you will proceed to a local restaurant for breakfast. After you have refuelled for the day you will have a few hours free time in which to explore Pamukkale and Hierapolis.

At around 15:00 you will begin your return journey to Alanya making convenience stops along the way. You will arrive back in Alanya at approximately 20:00.

There is full air conditioning on the coach and you will make your journey in comfort. Your experienced guide will be with you for the duration, always nearby to give you any relevant information and provided you with any assistance.
