Bodrum Horse Riding

  Last Updated: July 7, 2024

Bodrum horse riding is 1 or 2-hour safari tour to enjoy a memorable experience and to explore the countryside on horseback.

Bodrum horse safari offers you that more gentle pace of discovering the peninsula.  With its rolling hills and the emerald green forest backdrop against an azure blue sky, there can be no better way to relax than in the saddle, swaying to the gentle gait of the horse.

A 20 minute ride from Bodrum takes you to the horse ranch and a quieter, slower pace of life than the city offers you.  The horses you will ride at the ranch are chosen for their softer natures and love of the trek.  From the moment you are introduced to your named horse, you just might fall in love.  These sedate, lovely creatures are happy to exercise and seem proud to show you the beautiful landscape of the Bodrum peninsula, flanked by the shimmering Aegean sea.

You will ride through the orange groves and the pine forests, breathing in the most pure of air as you ride along.  Riding also through villages where the locals are pleased to see you, and where you may buy a bottle of water and learn a little of the village customs.

Bodrum Horse Riding Itinerary

Your tour starts with a pickup from your Bodrum hotel or apartment, by comfy air conditioned vehicle and a journey of approx. 20 minute to the horse ranch and home of your safari.  There you will be greeted by the friendly staff and your guide for the day.  All guides are qualified horsemen and women, and will give you a safety talk on arrival, issue you with a hard hat (this is non optionable) and introduce you to your horse for the day.  Basic tuition will follow with a gentle ride around the stable yard to get you used to your new four legged friend.

Once everyone is comfortable you will begin your trek along the beautiful landscape of the Bodrum countryside, often times with the turquoise Aegean to your right and left of the peninsula.  As your safari reaches its climax you will return to the ranch, filled with the glorious memories of your time on horseback exploring the rivers and villages of the western Bodrum peninsula.

The horse safari goes out every day throughout the summer season, usually twice a day.  You choose when and the time for pick up will be printed on your ticket.  The stables are usually open from 09:00 to 18:00.

The safari has a 4 hour duration from pickup time to return.
