Freebird Catamaran offers exclusive 3h or 4.5h all-inclusive whale-watching tours with swim breaks in South Tenerife, Masca & Los Gigantes.

Hotel transfers are included from both South and North Tenerife. Tour packages consist of unlimited beer, soft drinks, water and a tasty lunch with local flavors.

It’s is a comfy modern sailboat that offers great 360-degree views of the surroundings. You can move around freely on the deck to spot dolphins and whales.

3-hour whale-watching tour is around the Costa Adeje area, departing at 10:00. There is also a swim break near Diego Hernández beach.

4.5-hour Masca & Los Gigantes tour, which travels further, departs at 13:15. You will see the Cliffs of Los Gigantes and have a swim break near Masca Beach.

In both tours, you can see pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic spotted dolphins, turtles, and many other types of marine life.

In 2024, Freebird catamaran price is €45 for 3 hours Costa Adeje tour, €58 for 4,5 hours Masca & Los Gigantes tour. Children between 5-11 years are discounted and under 5 years are free.

Company Freebird operates three catamarans. Freebird One is the flagship and the largest. Freebird F13 and F15 join daily tours based on the number of people booked. All catamarans can be booked privately.

Freebird ensures a smooth start to your adventure with comfy air-conditioned buses that directly drop you off at the harbor. Hotel transfers are free of charge.

Welcome Aboard

Once you’ve hopped on the catamaran, friendly crew is ready to welcome you aboard. These are sail boats, so when wind conditions are good, boat will sail without using engines. If there’s no wind, there won’t be high motor sounds as boats have quiet engines.

Catamarans have an open bar, seating areas, sunbeds, bathrooms. They are also equipped with showers with fresh water. There is a platform at the back to make getting in and out of the sea super easy.

3 Hour Costa Adeje Tour

In 3-hour tour, you will have a refreshing swimming stop near Diego Hernandez beach. While catamaran sails smoothly, you will have multiple chances to spot whales and dolphins.

This is an all-inclusive tour package with beer, soft drinks, water and a light sandwich.

4,5 Hour Masca & Los Gigantes Tour

In the 4.5-hour tour, you will sail along the beautiful South coast of Tenerife to spot whales & dolphins. You will take a refreshing swim break at Masca Beach, and enjoy the view of Los Gigantes cliffs.

This is a longer cruise, offering more chances to see whales and dolphins. Boat crew will keep an eye out for whales as your cruise and inform you when they spot them.

A satisfying lunch on board (Rice with vegetables, chicken meatballs, bread and banana) will be served. Drinks like beer, soft drinks and water are included and unlimited.

Return

After the tour is over, catamaran returns back to Puerto Colón. On the way back you can enjoy views of La Gomera Island and if weather conditions allow, Teide Mountain. After reaching to the harbour, you will get a ride back to your hotel with transfer busses.

Can I reserve sunbeds at the time of booking?

Sunbeds cannot be reserved in advance. They are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the tour.

Is this tour suitable for limited mobility?

Wheelchairs cannot be accommodated on board the catamarans. Therefore, it is essential to have some mobility for boarding.

What should I bring with me on the tour?

Remember to bring sun protection for your face, lips, and body. Sunglasses and a hat are advisable for extra protection. Additionally, pack a bathing suit, towel, comfortable clothes and shoes.

If you are prone to seasickness, take necessary precautions. Seas around the Canary Islands can be wavy on some days. On cloudy days, consider wearing warm clothes. Don’t forget a video or photo camera to capture the beautiful moments.

If I come to the harbor by myself, are there parking spaces?

If you arrive by car, it’s recommended to come in advance. There are limited parking spaces available in Puerto Colon.
